Whats up everyone out there reading this blog, my loyal readers that are interested in everything marauders. it has been a couple of days since my last look out, but we the founders of the movement that is going on up the hill have been very busy putting together the intricate details of our plan to bring the U into the 21st century with the new way that marauder athletics is watched by fans or shall i say MANIACS thats all i can say for now just keep an eye out and a ear up for more news.
The Marauder that i am profiling today is one that i am almost positive that eveyone on campus knows if not personally than at least in passing, this man is very hard to miss and even harder not to hear. I am talking about Offensive lineman Nick Thortonjack if that does not ring a bell maybe the name FATJACK will. Thortonjack is a 3rd year starter who i have had the pleasure of playing against in practice, Nick is a fierce competitor that is also a great person to be around. Nick is a 6'5 330 pound beast he is one tough man to move this makes him a perfect o lineman. the year coming up will be Fatjacks senior year so he has decided to stay for the summer to increase his speed and strength, i recently talked to him he says that on top of team workouts he has been running on his own to increase his stamina and endurace, after last season he wants to do everything in his ability to help the team win games and play at the level that is expected from the U. Word on the street is that after all of Nicks hard work and training that there might be a name change in order one might not be able to call him Fat jack with the change in apperance the name SolidJack has been thrown around well if warranted i have no problem calling him what ever is suitable. keep up the good work and train hard i see big things from this big guy.

Whats up Marauder fans it has been an eventful first half of the week, look out for the start of a new attitude and fan base on the Hill more information to come in upcoming post.
The last couple of days i have been trying to think who i would profile on my blog with so many Marauders to watch in the up & coming year my choice was hard until i recieved a text from JAmal Lomax. Jamal the nevada most valuable player out of high school 3 years ago has been a starter for the marauders since his redshirt freshman year. i first met Lomax 3 years ago it was my first year here and i knew that there was somthing speacial about this kid, Jamal was on the scout squad with a horrible freshman O-line. if you saw the way the line played you would expect that jamal would not be able to do much but the cream rises to the top this kid had moves and broke tackles like you wouldnt believe, Everyone on the D felt and knew that he would be speacial Jamal's freshman year he was voted most valuable scout player by coaches and team.
During the next season Jamal was second string to Bayland a great running back for the U during a one game suspension jamal was given the task of starter. i feel that this was a breakout game for Lomax he carried the ball 30 times for over 100 yards and touchdown he proved that he could carry the load. This past season was not the best for Marauder football but like i said before the cream rises to the top Jamal had a good season dispite the team record. Jamal is a leader in the weight room and on the practice field you will never find him taking a play off or slacking this man is a beast. During spring camp this year i wittnessed Jamal run over a 230 lb starting linbacker watching this just got me excited for what is to come this season.

Community is big out here in the town of Bismarck, while i was working over the weekend i attended the marching band parade. I was out there just enjoying the scenery and listening to the bands, as i looked around i saw one of the U's up and coming stars cheering on all the marchers. Jason West(sophmore) was the man I saw brother to Jeff West (grad) Jason came from California to the U for basketball in 07 this past year he recieved plenty of Pt. During his time in games i wittnessed flashes of greatness this kid has some real talent. The university of Mary has potential to do big things in basketball, well i really hope so anyone who has followed the marauders basketball team knows that we have had a slump the past few years no matter what talent was on the squad. Jason west has been working hard to become a better ball player and to help influence the out come of the season to be. This kid has stayed in Bismarck dispite the fact it is summer time and he could go back home for some relaxation, to me that is dedication. So lets recap Jason is from Cali thats a plus, he put in time last season off the bench, he chose to stay over summer to become a better player and shows love in the community which intern should bring more locals out to the the HILL to watch Marauder Ball so far this kid is doing all the right things to be the next great thing on the bball team........ Keep it up
